About NSCS

The National Security Coordination Secretariat (NSCS) was formed under the Prime Minister’s Office in July 2004 to handle national security planning and the coordination of policy, research and intelligence issues at a whole-of-government level. It also organises and manages national security programmes, one example being the Asia-Pacific Programme for Senior National Security Officers (APPSNO), and funds experimental, research or start-up projects that contribute to our national security.

NSCS comprises three centres: the National Security Coordination Centre (NSCC), the National Security Research Centre (NSRC) and the Resilience Policy and Research Centre (RPRC).
